The Japanese brand was celebrating 50 years of alternative Harajuku attitude, while DM marked 50 years of the 1460 boot. In 2020, naturally, they both had new anniversaries to celebrate. The two brands were overdue for a reunion. The new Dr. Martens x Hello Kitty collection fuses tough DM's silhouettes with colorful Sanrio motifs. DM’s towering Jadon boot is decked out with alternate Kitty motifs on either side, Hello Kitty lettering down the ankle and heart nickel eyelets. The platform boots are finished with a dual-branded removable tag, laces with metal aglets and the usual Docs DNA. Polished Smooth is the original Dr. Martens leather: super durable, with a smooth finish polished to a high shine.
