DUNCAN & MILLER PALL MALL Vintage Clear Glass Duck Ash Tray or Trinket Dish

Duncan & Miller vintage clear glass duck ashtray. This duck was part of a Pall Mall limited edition advertisement for the Pall Mall cigarettes and is very collectible. The tail of the duck provides a resting place for a cigarette. It dates to approximately the 50’s. This ashtray is weighty and high quality. This duck may also serve as a trinket dish. Please see the photos for approximate measurements. Excellent vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks. The "Pall Mall" pattern, according to a Duncan ad (in the photos), was "in the modern feeling." A wide assortment of items were included in this pattern, including the Pall Mall duck. Duncan & Miller Glass Company was a glass manufacturer in Washington, Pennsylvania that produced fine tableware and giftware. The company was founded in 1865 by George Duncan and his family. The company sold its assets to the US Glass Company in 1955. The US Glass Company continued to produce Duncan style glass until 1980.
