There feels like some padding in the top shoulder area to my touch. There are 2 front pockets left and right side. There is an inner pocket on the left side. All the photos I took are listed which pretty much cover the coat. Hope that helps

I would say it is Black more so than Grey. Is it pure Black, I don't know as there are degrees or shades to every colour. The photos are accurate. Thanks for your interest.
