Possibly due to age, the gold is not wearing the same as the rest of the paint. Overall in good pre-owned vintage condition. The plate is handcrafted porcelain. c. 80s Made in Japan. Imari has its origins in Arita Japan 1616. Their wares made it to the West through the Imari port. Europeans & the Chinese have been copying Imari ware for years.
