This deep red carnelian is a flat surface table cut cabochon, it reflects red jewel tone to deep dark red depending on lighting. The table cut surface is unique and rare, it was most popular in jewelry during the Medieval and Renaissance periods, before advanced faceting techniques were developed, and experienced a resurgence during the Art Deco era. 900 Silver, Byzantine style antique carnelian bracelet with circumferential clasp.
