This beautiful stoneware casserole dish is part of Denby’s iconic Ode line — a mid-century design created by Glynn Colledge in 1961 and produced from 1967 through 1978. The warm golden-mustard glaze, clean lines, and sturdy stoneware make it a timeless piece for both cooking and display.
This particular dish is in remarkable, mint condition. No chips, cracks, crazing, stains, or signs of wear — it genuinely looks as though it was barely used, if at all. The glaze is rich and even, the lid fits perfectly, and the form has that classic Denby weight and balance.
Denby’s stoneware is loved for its strength, heat retention, and naturally non-porous finish. It’s durable enough for everyday use, holds warmth beautifully on the table, and cleans easily thanks to the smooth glazed surface.
Like most vintage stoneware, this piece is oven-safe but not designed for stovetop or direct-flame cooking. Perfect for warming dishes, baking small sides, serving soups, or simply enjoying as a warm, earthy décor piece.
A beautiful addition for:
• vintage kitchen collectors
• Denby lovers
• cottagecore or mid-century spaces
• functional pottery displays
• gift giving (especially for cooks and vintage enthusiasts)
