Update: on NYE my dog appeared to have ruptured a spinal disc and was recommended to have surgery, which would have been $5k-$6k. I am glad to say that after keeping her on medicine and strict rest for 3 weeks, she is doing much better! We are still going to be pursuing therapy for her to try and get her back to 100%. Additionally, the doctor said there is a chance of this happening again, but for now she’s doing well. Thanks to all who have helped and sent us prayers and advice! 🐶🐶🐶

smaroulis With our dog, we tried the cold laser treatments- about $40 each, for our dogs spine. They gave him such relief! I don’t if that’s an option for your dog- I hope it’s an option for you-

smaroulis @sandy1003 no problem! I couldn’t believe the relief our Shih Tzu got- totally painless process Make sure they don’t charge you for an office visit. I’ve had spinal fusion- so I feel your pups pain.

mellamor @sandy1003 I also went through this with our cocker spaniel! Laser therapy was like night & day. Would have to carry her in, then she would be jumping around on the way out! We also crated her for 7 days to help her body heal. It’s def hard to see them in pain!

sandy1003 @grammynichols22 thanks for the sweet offer! I’m actually hopeful that she won’t need surgery now. 🤞🤞🤞It’s been 3 weeks on medicine/crating and she’s doing better. Still not 100% but have a vet appointment tomorrow. Hoping for good news. Some mentioned cold laser therapy and we scheduled for her to start on Tuesday. It’s still been expensive but nowhere near surgery! For now I’m focusing on selling items that I don’t need but that hold value for others to help offset costs. 😊

grammynichols22 I understand. My old dog was diagnosed with diabetes and they wanted to euthanize him when I took him to the vet. I cried I was so upset I thought he had a urinary track infection. The vet called the animal hospital and they made arrangements to keep him over the weekend that bill was $3200. He only lived a year after that but it was worth it. I still miss him😢😢😢😢

sandy1003 Good news to all who have been following! I just got back from vet and Dulci has recovered well enough that they don’t think she needs surgery!!! I’m so happy. We are going to pursue the laser therapy but hopefully that will be enough to help keep her healthy and happy. Thanks for all your support!
