EF Velvet Jacket NWOT

This is a truly gorgeous piece and I believe the only reason I have not worn it is because I have quite a few equally gorgeous Eileen Fisher velvet pieces. This jacket is a long line kimono style. It is extremely flattering on. A size small but it fits pretty generously - see images for measurements. Two side pockets. This came out a few years ago when Eileen Fisher introduced a program called “Velvet for Tuesdays”. The idea was that this was a fabric that could be dress down and worn during the week. This is washable velvet, so it’s super easy to care for. And it looks and feels amazing. These quality pieces are super expensive to buy new so it’s great if you can pick them up on a forum like this at a fraction of the price. This colour is a very dark Mossey green and would look great with cream colors. I would wear this with a cream satin cami and a black skirt or pants. It would be a very sophisticated and casual look. This can be dressed up for sure! You could wear this over dress to instantly elevate it. This also looks amazing with jeans - remember it is intended to be worn casually. Roll the sleeves up and pop over a cotton tank or tee. I would keep this piece, but I have not worn it and like I said, I do have quite a few others. The velvet season is somewhat short, but if you like the concept, you’ll be happy you bought it and tucked it away. It’s a fabulous fabric for holidays.
