The brand was inspired by handcrafted rattan sleeping mat the founders saw in Bali, Indonesia. The first line of handbags was launched for the spring selling season of 2004. The features of the bag include; navy blue patent leather exterior, matching leather braided handles with a chain detail throughout the handles, handles are attached and non-removable drop handle is - 10”, gunmetal hardware, hardware to handles has Elliot and Luca engraved, magnetic closure to the inner center top of bag, opens up to three large compartments, one section has two open slip pockets, middle section is a zipped large compartment, third section has one zipped closed pocket with the Elliott Luca Creed attached to it and bottom of the bag has 4 feet with capital LE engraved to each.
