A stunning Peony brand babe from the 1950’s in a lucious black satin brocade with colourful floral detail. This coat makes a perfect evening jacket, lightweight enough for indoor wear but also a nice weight for mild weather. Features lovely trapunto quilted stitch work throughout, two curved front pockets and intricate knot frog closures. Wide cuffs allow for the ability to roll up to varying lengths without compromising the stitchwork detail. Fully lined and has a thin layer of fill in between for warmth and coziness. Vintage Peony jackets historically used silk fibres to fill the cost rather than down. I haven’t opened the seams to check but if feels in line with this.
