EUC vintage 4 seasons celadon ginger jar Features: - 4 season motif: Cherry blossoms (spring), Bamboo leaves (summer), Chrysanthemum flowers (fall), Lotus lily pads (winter). - Chinese variation of Greek key / meander motif. - the lid has what looks like I-ching trigrams. Characteristic Chinese jade green colour: very calm and tranquil. Almost meditative. Inside & Outside: glossy smooth celadon glaze. Raised surface designs. There are a few scattered dark and white spots in the vase. Unglazed ring on base, ring in mouth, under rim of lid. An almost one inch line in the inside ring looks unglazed. EUC vintage c. 1990s. Used for decor not flowers. Bought together with celadon wishing well and other pieces. (Listed and soon to be listed!)
