East African pink floral traditional double cotton kanga khanga sarong pareo

Brand new unused East African traditional double length cloth cotton kanga. Likely origin: Zanzibar or Tanzania * Unsewn piece of very lightweight 100% cotton fabric. It has a slightly stiff feel which transforms into a wonderfully soft fabric when washed. * Like a sarong or pareo, the kanga or khanga is used as a skirt, dress, head scarf, wrap, baby carrier, table cloth, home decoration, gift for special occasions etc * A swahili phrase is written along the bottom: “tumekosanyika naleo tunafurahika” Translation: We have gathered and we are happy SIZE * this piece has 2 printed sections, each with a geometric border, central section featuring a pink and white floral pattern, and a Swahili phrase. It is meant to be cut in half and each part can be used together or independently. Of course you don’t have to cut it and could use it as is, but it is like 2 sarongs / pareos in one. 44 in x 124 in 111cm x 316cm
