Elegant Black Dress - Patrice Devillard (Paris Designer)

This elegant black dress was purchased around late 80s or early 90s in a small boutique in Toronto. It was stunning at the time with oversized shoulder pads, lots of draping material and genuine leather trim on the waist and lower sleeves. 💕 Worn once to a wedding and since then it’s sat in my closet. I have always imagined altering it 🪡 ie. turning it into a mini dress or cutting the sleeves off and adding back shoulder pads I removed or turning it into an A-line dress from the waist to the hem given how much material is available 🤩 the possibilities are endless. Unfortunately removing the shoulder pads is as far as my altering project went and over time I grew out of it 😂😂😂 it barely fits at the waist so I won’t be redesigning it. You may like it as-is, however with some imagination 💡 and if you are handy with a needle and thread 🪡🧵 or sewing machine 📍maybe this is a good project for you to redesign or add your own designer spin on giving this dress a second chance. 💕 See pictures for beautiful details and approximate measurements. 🤩thank you for shopping my closet 🛍️💕💗
