Beautiful Sadler Teapot in a pale blue with gold gilt accents. Marked on base Sadler, Made in England, 1422
The Louis Teapots by Sadler were produced primarily during the mid-20th century, particularly from the 1940s to the 1970s. Sadler, a renowned British ceramics manufacturer, became well-known for its high-quality teapots and innovative designs during this period. The Louis Design Teapots often feature elegant, ornate decorations, including floral patterns and intricate detailing, typical of the Louis style. They may also have gold or silver accents. Made from fine porcelain or stoneware, these teapots are designed for both aesthetic appeal and practical use.
While specific years may vary depending on the individual piece, many of the Louis Teapots were produced between the 1940s and the 1970s. The company has a long history, dating back to the 19th century, but this particular design style gained popularity during the mid-20th century.
These teapots are sought after by collectors today, and their value can depend on factors such as condition and rarity. A beautiful piece of mid century modern craftsmanship, with a bit of Art Deco flare.
Measures: 9 1/2" long, by 6 1/2" tall.
Condition: There is some wear to the gold gilt in a couple of places as shown in photos. This tea pot is stunning ! The inside is still sparkling with no stains, has no crazing, chips or other damage. Please refer to photos as they are part of the description.

Had this in the cream with dishes - it was dropped off near my door - got it safely inside - then dropped the whole box. Nothing survived. That seems to be the theme of my life😱🤣
