Elegant Patchwork‎ Quilt with Pastel Colors

This is a true piece of history. This quilt is still in the process of being professionally dated and we are trying to track down more information on her. She’s just remarkable. In all my years of selling textiles full time; I have never seen anything like it. I’m truly speechless as to what to say. Completely handmade, there’s been many repairs over the decades it appears and it appears the outter seam was completely redone at some point. Someone truly loved this their entire life. A side rant, but that’s how special things truly should be, it’s just a better way of life, versus buying items seasonally at Homesense and then just getting rid of them just months later to change it out. This is from a time where that didn’t happen. Things were painstakingly made for years, and preserved for life and then passed on.
