Elegant Vintage Sleepy Eyes Doll

This beauty is a vintage sleepy eyes doll in fancy dress with bonnet and corsage. The eyes open when the doll is upright and the eyes close when lying the doll down. The doll's body appears to be made of rubber and is in great shape. The box it is resting in is marked Ideal Doll & Toy MFG Co. This doll belonged to my late mother and she left a note in the box for the new owner. (See the photo.) The note suggests she received this doll in 1953 or 1954.
