Japanese streetwear brand 'Evisu' is extremely popular in Asia and California. It is a Japanese designer clothing company that specializes in producing denim wear through traditional, labor-intensive methods and other clothing items. The brand was founded by Hidehiko Yamane in 1991 in Osaka originally as an homage to Levi's. The brand's jeans found their way onto the stage and music videos of influential artists like Jay Z, Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, and TI, further solidifying its status as a symbol of American street culture. The Japanese brand got more urban for spring/summer 2018 and launched its 'Evisukuro' line, a trendy collection combining fashion and athleisure.
