Exquisite handmade vintage silk dress & jacket by Jan Vanvelden, Lady Di fave

An elegant and bright two-piece outfit created by UK-based Dutch designer Jan Vanvelden, a favourite of the late Princess Diana. Made of pure silk and fully lined in silk, with gorgeous beadwork to the top half of the dress. Full-length sleeves. Worn only 3-4 times; very good condition with no loose beading or rips. A few microscopic stains which don’t show with the pattern and might come out with spot cleaning or professional dry cleaning (not attempted). Equivalent to Canadian woman size 10. Length from shoulder seam to bottom: 49”. Length from seam under one arm to other: 18”. The hem looks slightly gathered in photos, that’s merely from being stored in a gown bag. Smoke- and pet-free home.
