Exquisite vintage necklace & earrings in sterling & pearl signed LAR.IN

These miniature cattail pieces - nicely rendered with freshwater pearl buds and silver leaves on a background of dark mother of pearl - represent a favourite theme of the artist who signed their pieces LAR.IN. I see some people identify this as a signature of Robert Larin who designed jewelry in Quebec in the late 60s and early 70s. But Robert Larin crafted in the brutalist style and primarily in pewter.I do think from pieces like these that I have seen that they date from the same era and from Canada, if not actually Quebec. The silver rimmed post earrings are about 3/4" in diameter, while the pendant (also rimmed in silver) is a teeny bit wider. The 18-inch box chain is signed on the clasp 925 (in two places) as well as Italy and MJI, the initials of Marilena Jewelry Import. Everything is in great shape with some patina on the leaves, which I think looks great but could likely be further cleaned.
