Were you born between about 1945-1990? Did you see which song this Funko Pop is commemorating? Well then... !!!💥BAM💥!!! NOW IT'S STUCK IN YOUR HEAD FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK. Whitney Houston. Wow. She had some pipes, no doubt about that! And her musical discography was pretty much the soundtrack to the 80s. Let's see... who else had that kind of collection of songs- All HUGE, over the top dramatic showstoppers mostly about love or love lost, and all about her powerhouse of a voice: perfect pitch, perfect timing, perfect 80s grandiosity. NO ONE else comes close! Celine Dijon? Nope. Mecca Streisand? Newp. Tuna Turner? Not quite. She was incredible! But her death was such a sick and preventable cruel joke against her. I feel like she deserved a more grandiose death than being found dead in a bathtub. I'm going to imagine instead that she was singing underwater with a troupe of mermaid back-up singers and at the big showstopping high note, a giant shark came out of nowhere, straight for Whitney, and snapped her body in half with its jaws before munching down on the rest of her- sequin gown and all... THAT'S the kind of legendary death she should've had. And remember, just because people aren't always perfect, people can screw up and do bad things and make mistakes... but people should NEVER be judged based on their bad news or worst behavior. Everyone deserves redemption and should be treated with dignity and respect. Unless they're a serial killer or something.
