Federal Glass Co. Depression Yellow Glass Creamer & Sugar Bowl 1932-1939
This is a wonderful depression glass cream and sugar set made by the Federal Glass Co, USA. The pattern is called Madrid and almost looks like a family shield or crest. The pattern is raised or embossed against a smooth background and repeats itself on the front and back of each piece and is connected by a ribbon of diamonds and tulip-like shapes.
The shape of these pieces is unusual in that they are round on the inside but a “squarish” (combination circle and square!), on the outside.
This pattern was produced between 1932-39.
