This is about as rare as they come. I purchased this from Morry Barmak, owner of Collector Studio (collectorstudio.com) in Toronto's prestigious Yorkville district back in 2001 for $2,400. His store aka a museum of motorsport history, was a popular stop for the likes of Jerry Seinfeld and Sylvester Stallone whenever they were in town (they both love racing if you didn't know).
This jacket, designed and made by Tommy Hilfiger, was only produced for the F1 team and never sold in store or to the public. It's from the 2000 season and I bought this for historical significance. The 2000 season is when Schumacher finally won his first world title for Ferrari and it was the team's first driver's title since 1979 and began what would become the most dominant era in F1, well, until Mercedes and the turbo hybrid era.
This size S, though fits like a small M, is even more rare because it features full Marlboro badging. Those were always harder to get and looked way better than the blank versions the team used in countries where tabacco sponsorship was banned.
This is a performance, water resistant jacket that has more pockets than an F1 car has aero bits. The seams are fully taped to ensure moisture protection as well.
The insulated vest is probably the coolest part of this jacket and also feature full sponsor badging.
This jacket is brand new and has never been worn outside. There isn't a mark or stain to be found. Own a true piece of history.
