As Found this handcrafted spruce gum box measures 3-1/4" x 1-3/4" x 1-1/4".
Carved Riley. Slide openings top and bottom. Box is empty. Made by S. Rafuse of Lunenburg County Nova Scotia in Canada.
Note: Spruce gum boxes, or gum boxes, are a form of art made by lumbermen . They were most often carved and filled with spruce gum for loved ones . Some boxes would have a panel that slid open while others had to be broken apart.
