French Connection Navy Floral Cut Out Dress

This dress by French Connection is made of a cotton/spandex mix (98/2) with a black satin lining made of a polyester/spandex blend (97/3). The exterior fabric has a navy background accented by a white and pink/red flower pattern that has a bit of an optical illusion, similar to looking at a 3D image without 3D glasses. The dress has short sleeves with a wide, round neckline and a long back zip. If you zoom in to pic 6 you can see there are triangular cut-outs in the back on either side of the zipper. The dress has nice darts and tailoring throughout with a defined waist and A-line flare. There is a zipper pocket on either side of the hip as well. The fabric feels sturdy, if a little stiff, and the hem falls around or just above the knee. The dress is a little big for the mannequin (even pinned back) and when worn by a person, there is less empty space around the bust/midsection. There is normal wear, but no issues affecting wearability. This piece is marked as a size (US) 8 and measures closer to a size 6, suggesting a tighter intended fit.
