French Enamelled Cast Iron Coated Black Interior Oval Dark Green Top 29cm x 23cm

Price $190 for base + lid (notes* below) This heavy oval Dutch Oven is a high quality piece which was made in France, as per stamps on both pieces. At first glance it looks like Le Creuset and then, with the lid removed, like a Staub because of the incredible matte black interior. Oddly the piece has no brand details. It belonged to my Aunt so came to me without a box or pamphlets. Possibly (and likely) vintage. I’ve used it for roasts & poultry with great resulIt; would also be great for large bread loaves. The hunter green finish is beautiful so its a dreamy display piece when not in use. Enamelled cast iron is stovetop safe making it ideal to start dishes which will finish in the oven. Distributes heat evenly. Holds heat making it ideal oven-to-table serve ware. In amazing used condition, inside and out! Light signs of wear from normal use mainly on bottom edge (sliding in and out of oven), including one very small spot of chipped enamel (refer last PIC) Interior is in excellent condition and cleans up easily and to like new condition after use. Warm water, nylon scraper & soap when necessary. No special care needed. *NOTE: Due to Poshmark’s shipping weight restrictions I will need to (sell and) ship base and lid separately.
