Fresh Water Black Pearls, Shell Centre, Earrings

Fresh Water Black Pearls- this set features two kinds of black pearls. This lovely and unique necklace is 18 1/2 " long, and the seashell is 1 1/2 " long and 1" wide It is unusual and stunning. The necklace was made on the Big Island in Hawaii. The long pearls are BIWA pearls. Biwa pearls are stick-shaped cultured pearls that originally came from the freshwater mussels found in Lake Biwa, Japan. Since 2000 or so, there have been no pearls produced that due to pollution. This necklace was purchased in 2016 so these may be original Lake Biwa pearls. The oval shaped black cultured pearls are BAROQUE pearls. The baroques are from the South Seas. The centre shell is a small nautilus shell. The earrings are Biwa pearls. Put it all together and you have a beautiful and unique showpiece of a necklace!
