With most skincare creams there is a POA of 12 months. This refers to the length of time the product stays good after opening. Prior to opening, and if stored properly, creams generally have a shelf life of three to five years. However, this doesn’t apply to over the counter sunscreens or acne creams. Those have a stamped expiration date.
That’s why this product is 12 months because it has not been opened and likely purchased in the last 3 years
