sewhappi2 @leahgabrielleb Hi Leah. Sorry I wasn’t able to respond earlier this week. Thanks so much for the compliment. Taking the photos can be so much fun. Natural or studio lights are a must. Be careful to keep the focal point on what you’re selling. And, I recommend using Lightroom to take the photos and for some of the editing.

sewhappi2 @leahgabrielleb My favorite tools in Lightroom are “light” and “color”. You can play with the adjustments to see what you like. Selecting color > mix (wheel in righthand corner) allows you to adjust for true color OR to take any unwanted yellow tinge out of your photos.

sewhappi2 @leahgabrielleb The app Snapseed does wonders for editing. My two favorite tools to use in Snapseed are “selective” and “brush”. Both of these tools can help make background whites really white and bright! I’d play around with these two apps and practice.

sewhappi2 @leahgabrielleb Lastly, the only essential props I’d recommend are a piece of white poster board for flat-lays and a white wall if you have one. Avoid clutter from too many “props” or even throwing something over a closet door. Pics like these tend to not be attractive. The more you put in, the more you get out.
