GOURMATES GLO-HILL Vintage 60s Chrome Serving Tray, Bakelite Handles and Feet

Gourmates Glo-Hill vintage 1960s chrome serving tray. Beautiful cherry wine colored bakelite handles and raised feet. Perfect for entertaining or your dining table. There is a small curling emblem (rock and brooms) on the one end (see photos). This may have been a prize at a curling bonspiel. Great condition. There are a few superficial minor scuffs scratches on the top and bottom that would be expected with the age of the tray. The bakelite is in beautiful condition. This is a gorgeous vintage piece. Please see the photos. Founded in Montreal in 1945, the Glo-Hill Company was the creation of brothers-in-law Jack Globus and Harry Hill. By the 1960s, Glo-Hill began offering barware products under the label Barmates. The serving pieces were known as Gourmates. Glo-Hill continued to operate until it closed in 1979.
