Intricate band details. 21" inside. About 1" tall. In his teen years, G.T. (Boppy) Lanning worked for a milliner near London, England, where he learned the hat-making trade. As a young man he emigrated to Canada, and settled in Toronto where, in 1915, he started a small hat shop of his own. By 1949, the business had grown too large for the Toronto location, so the Lanning family moved their operation to Belleville, Ontario. Today, David, the third generation of Lannings, continues the family's tradition of making and importing fine headwear, with 90% of their product being handmade right in the Bellville plant!
