Lupins & Aspens By Kim Barraclough Oil on canvas This piece was inspired by a watercolour painting my grandmother made for me which was inspired by a gorgeous photograph in a long lost wildflower photography coffee table book I often wish I still had in my possession so I could credit the photographer who inspired both my pieces. I’ve only done a handful of oil paintings and this is one of them. I love how creamy and dreamy the scene looks. It’s the type of forested place I’d love to wander through and spend some time peacefully contemplating nature and the beauty that surrounds us 🪻 PLEASE NOTE: The edges of this painting are a light purple colour that compliments the painting well, however, if you’d like the purple to be changed to green or black or perhaps even silver I’d be happy to do that for an extra $15. Just let me know the colour you’d like me to use and I’ll make the alteration before sending it. This piece is outfitted with a cantered hook on the back for easy hanging and can go right up onto your wall once it’s out of its careful packaging. An additional frame could be added but it looks very nice and fully finished as it is. EXTRA NOTE: This is the largest painting I have available for sale on line so far and a great deal of effort & materials go into ensure a painting is kept safe during transport. I’ve had to factor packing into the price of this piece along with the cost of art materials, as well as my time and effort.
