Gamine Workwear Sargent Dungaree

I purchased it off here, but the length is too long for me (I am 5' 1) What originally started as a quest for the perfect pair of high rise dungarees quickly morphed into years long trials and a tight edit of high rise work pants, tailored for a range of work place scenarios and body types. We’re slowly releasing the options, leading with our Sargent fit —a wink and a nod to Sargent’s musings on femininity (I used to garden below Sargent’s former studio). Along those lines, we’ve thought about what’s necessary for a work pant, and tried to strip away everything else. We landed on a seemingly simple silhouette, based on a favorite dungaree from the 40’s. Our talented seamstresses, who used to make Levi’s and Carhartt pre-NAFTA, show their deft hand on their WWII era sewing machines, creating single needle details and felled side seams—special details lost in today’s disposable world. Our pattern maker, who has been making jeans for over 40 years, created a super comfortable gusset for a fuller range of motion and ease of fit as these babies break in. Gusseted crotch, high rise.
