In the Fall of 1998 I was excited to see that even the preppy mall store The Gap had embraced rave culture, even a little, by selling face & body shimmer in a tube. Not being particularly adventurous person when it comes to decorating my face and hair, I thought maybe it might be fun to try. I wore it exactly once ~ to a Blockbuster Video Holiday Christmas Party in December, 1998. I felt self-conscious and ridiculous the whole night, and I never used it again. And yet I kept it safe for twenty-five years in case the urge to sparkle hit me again. It did not. And so, to you, I offer up vintage 1998 face & body shimmer. epargne @quaintncozycafe If you've ever used, or know someone who's used Innisfree cherry blossom face cream, this is a good comparison. It's not thick, not runny. It spreads well. It's silver, sparkly, and somewhat subtle. It sort of reminds me of what a store would have sold in the 70s to people wanting a David Bowie look. I used a qtip to scrape product off the inside lid and tried to demonstrate here in photos.
