This little volume is, "The Clerk's Tale", an excerpt from Canterbury Tales, by Geoffrey Chaucer, edited by Kenneth Sisam. It was published by Oxford at the Clarendon Press in 1925.
It is a gray cloth bound hardcover book with black lettering on the spine and cover. It features an Introduction, a discussion of Chaucer's portrait of the clerk, Notes, comments on Chaucer's English, a Note on the Metre, and a Glossary. There are also several illustrations.
This book is in quite good condition. The pages are all very clean save for slight yellowing from age. The cover and spine are a little worn and have bumped corners and the odd smudge. The binding is good and tight. Please see the photos.
