(Model in pictures is 5’10” Adjustable spaghetti straps, & french seams. The silk has some give and with the bias cut, ensures all the right curves are accentuated. The original intent was that would be boudoir wear (intimate, sexy) flattering the curves of the wearer's body. More modern times has seen this gown worn out as a dress. It is all around beautiful. This quality gown would run you several hundreds of dollars these days. Even in the 80's, this would have been more than $200!The silk is a beautiful satin with finely done hems. Being cut and sewn on the bias, the gown folds in on itself and is hard to photograph. Condition This piece is in excellent vintage condition. It was put away for good and now it needs to be worn! I can see no obvious flaws but as this is a satin silk, there likely are marks but nothing obvious to my eye.
