Large Cylindrical Porcelain Vase by Rosenthal, designed by Raymond Peynet (1908-1999). This stunning piece from the Les Amoureux (The Lovers) collection and stands at 12 inches tall with a width of 3 inches. Peynet was a draughtsman, illustrator and cartoonist. He created his iconographic theme “Les Amoureux” (The Lovers) in 1942. The Lovers inspired a series of images that were incorporated into books, lithographs, figurines and in the 1960s on Rosenthal porcelain.
