Gorgeous handmade 1940s or 50s brocade set

Champagne brocade with delicate pattern on sturdy (satin-like) material. Two pieces - a sheath and a jacket. *This dress is so hard to take a photo of, regardless of what kind of light three is a heavy reflection but both pieces in the set are all of the same champagne material with zero discoloration. Sheath has small 'bow' at neckline, short sleeves and jacket has 3/4 sleeves and beautiful ornamental 'button' swirl detail and pocket flaps (which are not actual pockets). Both knee length and fully lined. This was bought from an estate sale and I was told it was worn once at a wedding. It is in exceptional condition and has been properly stored for approximately 60 years (no moth damage or imperfections, and for a handmade piece in heavy fabric the tailoring is really quite amazing). I wish it was my size and I had somewhere to wear it (not that I need an occasion to dress up !) It gives me mother-of-the-bride or dinner with the president vibes.
