The Guardian Service Triangle Cookware is a highly recognizable and collectible piece of vintage American kitchenware.
Manufacturer/Era: Made by Century Metalcraft Corporation of Los Angeles, sold via home parties from the late 1930s until the factory fire in 1956.
Material: Heavy-duty, durable cast or hammered aluminum (a hallmark of the brand).
Distinctive Shape: The pot or casserole dish has a unique triangular or "heart" shape with rounded corners. This design was often part of a set of three that could fit together snugly on a circular serving tray.
Lid: It features a tall, distinctive domed glass lid (made after WWII due to metal rationing) which was designed for "waterless" cooking, allowing condensed moisture to drip back onto the food for self-basting.
This is a rather unique piece of cookware from the early 20th century. The lid does have some minor chips in it however it has no effect on the use of the casserole. It is popular for baking traditional sourdough bread.
