FIRM PRICE Vintage watch w 18K gold plating, stacked sides on alligator leather band. Very cool piece from the 80s. Some signs of wear on enamel sides and face as shown in photos from bracelet. Swiss made. Glass GG back cracked but smooth to the touch. Will price accordingly. Not working, may just need a new battery. Just clearing out my jewelry chest. Recently saw a few for sale online $400- $700 Collectible classic. Enamel can easily be touched up, battery and band replaced I’m told.

tonibe @artatbeechwood Honestly I don’t know. Swiss made according to face so my guess is that a new battery would restore the movement. Just a guess though. I’m thinking I stopped wearing it when the battery died. Vintage

I may take it to a local dealer for a battery and try to sell it there. It’s worth more than it’s listed for and a collectible. Go figure. I just don’t wear watches anymore. 😂

But 65% commission is ridiculous even at their suggested listing price of $800. This is a sentimental piece and I’m not desperate for cash so I’m happier keeping it in my possession until it sells. malliesmew For this price I assumed you have an appraisal? It's going for around $100 on the high end. And this would only be considered a vintage watch if it was produced in 1980 or before.

tonibe @malliesmew Thanks for your interest! It is in fact considered vintage from the 80s. 18k gold plate, museum dial Gucci classic. Highly collectible. I took it to a Beverly Hills watch shop for an appraisal and they said I should price it in between the highest and lowest listings as it is authentic and the value is whatever the market will bear. That is exactly what I did. PM takes a chunk as you know but not as much as TheRR.
