One of the features that gives this jacket its slimming, hourglass shape is the released darts at centre back and centre front waist - very clever pattern design. See photos 8, 9, 10, and 11 Also, the fabric has been cut so that the stripes are diagonally placed on the body, elongating the torso and providing a slimming effect The jacket comes to a point at the centre front, and in this way, is reminiscent of corseted shapes of the eighteenth century - see photos 7 and 8 There is a 2-way zipper at the centre front, and long sleeves Unlined, the jacket is lightweight, and because of its construction, it is cool to wear Jacket is a US 8, but the fabric is stretchy and fits my size 10 mannequin with room to spare Armhole seam to armhole seam at shoulders across back = 15 Bust - measured underarm seam to underarm seam with jacket lying flat = 17 1/4" or 34 1/2" all around Sleeve length - measured from intersection of shoulder and armhole seams to bottom of sleeve = 23 1/4" Bottom of sleeve = 4" on the half, or 8" all around Centre back length - measured from nape of neck at back to bottom of jacket = 18 1/2" The last 4 photos show the jacket inside-out so that you can see its construction The jacket was purchased to be worn with the MEXX faux leather/fabric slim-cut jeans, which I have also listed here - nobody would ever guess that the jacket and jeans are from different designers!
