The illustrations look like regular paisley from further away, and it is such a treat to get closer and notice the big cats. It's flowy and uniquely cut, it looks very elegant yet modern. The gold dots were unexpected treats! They really shine in the right light, but not in a gaudy way; it's lovely gold thread. A couple of notes: I went up a size as it ran a little small at my natural waist, and it is a deep navy vs. black as it can look in the photos.
