Treasures from my Mother's attic.
The Republic Period Chinese Satsuma Hand Painted Gilded Porcelain Bowl, likely from the early 20th century, although dating Satsuma ware can vary.
"Satsuma ware is a type of Japanese pottery known for its detailed, gilded, polychromatic enamel overglaze designs. Key features include:
*Material: Porcelain or pottery.
*Decoration: Multicolored glazes, gold gilding, and moriage (raised decoration) technique."
Great vintage condition with some signs of age and wear. Nothing drastic, considering the bowl's age. Might require light cleaning, however, I would leave it as is.
Note : I don't clean vintage items before I sell it. The cleaning is up to the buyer as every collector has their own method. Don't want to devalue it, if something goes wrong.
Please be sure to look closely at all pictures as I do try to capture the item's condition so that you may see any marks or flaws and make an informed decision.
Items are pictured in natural light, but how colours appear on different computer monitors & mobile devices can vary – please message if you have a question about an item’s colour(s).
Due to the unique nature of vintage items, they are being sold as is. Please keep in mind that most antique and vintage items will show wear and imperfections consistent with their age and use.
Measures approximately 6"x6".
