Hand wood Burned Art

Hand wood burned on pine harvested off my property. Each piece is has unique characteristics that nature does not duplicate. Truly one of a kind. This pine has beautiful natural tones that give a darker and blue look into it. Stain was used along just the right edge to offer contrast. This was the first time I incorporated a knot into the project to accent the nose. I now fully understand why most wood burners use the knots as a moon or sun. It definitely added a challenge. The backside is is left in a natural state with the front having a poly acrylic layer for protection. Nature provides us with many gifts by using wood that would have been left to rot, discarded or burned I hope I can add some enjoyment to someone.
