Hand-Carved Mother of Pearl Butterfly Pin

Gorgeous hand-carved vintage mid-century Mother of Pearl Butterfly Pin. This gorgeous hand-carved butterfly is just breathtaking. I don't know from which tradition it comes from. It looks more Taxco than Bethlehem souvenir Mother of pearl carvings. The glue attached to the pin must have come off, and someone has done rather a rushed gluing job to keep it together. Because of the transparent nature of the thin mother of pearl wings, a bit of the glue can be seen through from the front. 1"×1"
