🇨🇦🎁 Handcrafted Wood Bangle Decorated with Totemic Animal - First Nations, B.C.

Decorated wood-wearable art by Mike Dangeli, an exhibited and commissioned First Nations artist (e.g., Tlingit & Tsimshian Nations). Features totemic animals in iconic Northwest Coast formline. Mike Dangeli is also the creator of memorial totem poles (see relevant pictures), adding significant cultural & artistic weight to his wearable works. The formline style traditionally features fine flowing curves, ovoids, & U-forms in turquoise, orange, & black, colours with deep cultural resonance in First Nations art. It portrays among other animals, the killer whale, eagle & beaver, each emblematic of clan & family crests in Tsimshian & Tlingit tradition. Hand-decorated (not sure about the technique used) wood with a clear resin coating Approx. 1.5" width, inner diameter ~ 3" Inside the bangle is a handwritten inscription: "Preserving" by Mike Dangeli, Tlingit, Tsimshian (see pictures-l did my best C©). In black ink on a dark brown background, it is a meaningful statement-preserve culture, heritage, & nature & adds authentic collectible value. Condition: Brand new (never worn), vibrant colours preserved under resin. Hues vary with light. Received as gift (box was from the National Art Gallery) & used only for deco in my home, away from sunlight & dust. Pairing: plain and simple lines pieces so they do not compete with the bracelet. Black or, solid turquoise (cool) & orange (warm) in solo or mixed as they are complementary colours in the RGB (digital screen) artist's wheel.
