Handmade Antique Necklace 30"

I am offering for sale this beautiful imitation amber necklace measuring approximately 30" total lenght. The finest quality of imitation amber was made pre WW11. They were made from poly resins and epoxy resins and were manufactured under the names Bakelite, Polybrene, Bernat (Bernit). Today these pieces are sought after by collectors, most prized are the whiskey colors that were manufactured to resemble real amber with inclusions, cracks and plant material and insects imbeded. These unique polyester materials have earned a place in history, not as fakes but as a true art form as artisans meticulously crafted these pieces to look authentic.
