Handmade Canada Centennial Vtg Quilt, Hand Painted Maple Leaf Provincial Flowers

A wonderful vintage quilt, handmade to comemorate the Canadian centennial. The quilt features the centennial logo maple leaf painted in the center panel. The provincial flowers of each province are painted inside. The stem of the maple leaf is inscribed with the date "1976" - the Canadian centennial year was 1967 so it's possible that the date was written incorrectly by the maker, or that the 1976 date reflects the year the quilt was made. The center panel is surrounded by bands of pastel colored blue, yellow, pink and green fabric. The back of the quilt is solid blue. Good vintage condition. The fabric is very soft. The colors are slightly faded and washed out and there are some marks and stains and a small hole in the green fabric. 82" × 70"
