Handmade Ceramic lidded Gothic Kitchen Storage jar, Cemetery Gates pottery

A ceramic lidded jar with a free-hand carved Victorian Wrought Iron Gate / Cemetery Gates going around the body, with white misty swirls painted close to the ground. Perfect for those with Gothic tendencies and a leaning towards slightly Spooky home décor aesthetics. Perfect for storing things like tea or coffee or rice, or use it as a vase without the lid. The glazing is food safe. Alternatively, it would make a good urn. The lines of the gate were filled with black slip and scraped back to reveal not-quite tidy lines of the fencing. The outside was glazed in a soft grey / beige to evoke those grey rainy days. The speckling is something this clay just *does* but it reminds me of floating ashes, or very heavy rainfall. The lid fits well, but only really great in one position and would be a good candidate to glue down *should* you wish to use this item as an urn for ashes. The inside has been glazed in a similar tone with some soft blue added (to be a bit more comforting, and not as bleak). Condition: New and unused. This vase was handmade by me in 2025. I take ceramics lessons and will sell more successful pieces for time to time to pay for more materials. Stamped on the bottom and inside the lid YB (that´s me) Size: ca 7 1/4 inches tall (18.5 cm) It takes ca 900 ml of fluid which is similar to 900 cubic cm of volume (or 54.9 cubic inches)
