[Handmade - Jane Overland] Vintage Navy Polkadot Midi Dress with Pleats | Medium

This dress is understated perfection - the more you look at it, the more unique details start to shine. From the zip-up front (no more struggling with flimsy side or back zips!) to the elegant flare of the skirt to the pleated sleeve and collar details. This dress is handmade and quite frankly, they just don't make garments like this anymore. The tailoring is *perfect*. The fabric has a medium weight to it, so it holds the structure of the dress beautifully. no floppy pleats or sad droopy a-lines 😂 I found it at a vintage shop in Iceland and I loved it so much I even cloned the pattern. However, I don't fit the original anymore - my boobs have betrayed me. There's a lot of flexibility in this piece - I've worn this with brown knee high slouchy boots and a cropped jacket for fall date night, white sandals for a cute picnic look, or adding a red belt, red lipstick and heels to go pin-up. As it's custom made there's no size, I've included ptp, length and waist in pictures, but feel free to ask for more details if you need! No fabric composition either but feels like a silk blend to me. This garment is in good used condition. It has a life left in it, but there's some small pulls and wear and tear pictured in the photos. The dramatic nature of the Navy and white polka dot makes them virtually invisible, but I wanted purchasers to be able to see the faults to make an informed decision for themselves.
