Handmade and Hand Painted Vintage Clam Shell Purse

This little gem of a purse most likely dates to the early 1900's. Bright spots of paint still remain on the outside, red lacquered paper tipped with gold completes the inner construction Tiny little rivets attach the hand chain and a stamped clasp completes this little work of art. Given it's great age, it's not surprising that some of the paint has worn off and the a bit of the inside is coming away from the shell.
